Children's Festival 2012 letters
Message from the President of the Childrens Festival Organisation Inc

It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to the Children’s Festivals this year.

Our Children’s Festival has in the last eight years been a wonderful time for children and their families to share experiences from different cultural backgrounds. It allows all of us to be together, to play together, to have fun and to live in harmony. The number of participants has been increasing every year and the enthusiasm of our volunteers as well as the participating groups is testimony to the success of Children’s Festival.

The Children’s Festival every year continues to attract many new activities such as drumming and didgeridoo workshops, top spinning, story telling, the “frogmobile” and badge making. Of course all of our usual games and activities are here for your enjoyment. I would also particularly like to welcome our new stage presentation groups, which add a special cultural interest and so enhance our Festival. For an overview of the wide range of our interesting activities and spectacular performances please refer to this program booklet or visit our website www.childrensfestival.com.au

On behalf of the Children’s Festival Organisation Inc. and the Organising Committee, I sincerely appreciate the continuous sponsorship and support from Bankstown City Council who is our Major Sponsor. Other Sponsors are Canterbury-Bankstown Express, Bankstown District Sports Club, Scouts Australia (NSW Branch), NSW Department of Community Services, Community Relations Commission, Bankstown City Credit Union, Centro Bankstown and those listed in this booklet. I am also very thankful for the support from the State and the Federal governments. It is also through the tremendous contributions by our tireless volunteers that such a great festival is made possible.

I welcome all children, parents and friends to join with me to celebrate the Children’s Festival and please have a wonderful day.
